Laurence P. Chirch, Esq.

ASSOCIATE
Laurence P. Chirch received a B.A. degree in Government from Cornell University in 2001, with concentrations in International Relations and Latin American Studies. He obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2005, along with an M.A. in International Affairs from the American University School of International Service.

While in law school, Mr. Chirch served as a Dean’s Fellow, in which he assisted in various legal research projects. He was also a Student Attorney in the Civil Practice Clinic. Additionally, in the summer of 2004, he was a judicial intern for the Honorable Kenneth S. Levy, P.J. Ch., Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Chirch served as law clerk to the Honorable Peter A. Buchsbaum, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division, Hunterdon County. Thereafter, he joined the firm of Montfort, Healy, McGuire & Salley in Garden City, New York, where he practiced civil litigation, concentrating in the areas of insurance defense and premises liability.

Mr. Chirch joined Purcell, Ries, Shannon, Mulcahy & O’Neill as an associate in 2007. He is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey (2005), the State of New York (2006) and the District of Columbia (2007), as well as the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey (2005) and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (2007).
